On Monday Microsoft addressed one of the biggest bugbears owners had with its latest-generation games console - a total lack of backwards compatibility.
During its press conference on the opening day of E3 2015, the company detailed how where there was once no way there are now two options for playing games from the Xbox 360 on the current model.
Customers who bought a title as a digital download via Xbox Live can simply download it again. While those with a physical disk will discover that when inserted it will copy to the console's hard disk and play from there instead.
However, not all games will be backwards compatible initially, Microsoft will be issuing a list during E3. And, as for the new feature itself, it will be pushed out as a software update before the end of the year.
