Xiaomi Mi Portable Electric Air compressor goes on crowdfunding in India: Here’s the price

The company today opened the crowdfunding for Mi Portable Electric air compressor that is currently available for ₹2,299. The funding currently has a goal for 4000 units.

A few days ago, we saw Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain teasing the launch of Mi Portable Electric air compressor in India. As it turns out, that was not for the launch but the announcement for its crowdfunding in India. The company today opened the crowdfunding for Mi Portable Electric air compressor that is currently available for ₹2,299. The funding currently has a goal for 4000 units. 

At the time of writing, 569 units were funded by 541 supports. The crowdfunding will end on July 23rd. if you plan to fund it, the device will only begin shipping from August 10 (free shipping charges).

Measuring 124x71x45.3mm, the Mi Portable Electric air compressor weighs 547 grams, which makes it highly portable. It has a 2000mAh battery and can charge via microUSB port at 10W. Xiaomi claims that the product takes under 3 hours to fully charge. It is claimed to inflate 5 car tires with pumping speed of 6 minutes to fill one tyre in addition to bicycle tyres, bike tyres and football.

The air compressor also has a LED light, a display to show the psi levels and can be pressurised up to 150 psi.

Meanwhile, the Chinese tech firm has announced that it is hosting a global Ecosystem Product Launch 2020 event on July 15. It will begin from at 8pm GMT+8 (5:30pm IST) and will be showcased on the company's YouTube and social media channels. During the event, Xiaomi is expected to reveal its much-anticipated Mi TV Stick. We are also expecting the launch of Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Mi Electric Scooter 1s and 34-inch curved monitor.
