Meta has introduced a bunch of features for Facebook and instagram reels.
Meta has announced new features for Facebook and Instagram reels which allow creators to access more editing tools. With the new features rolling out, users will be able to upload longer videos, schedule uploads, create Reels on desktop etc. The new features aim to take on TikTok which Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg says poses ‘unprecedented level of competition. "Reels is already our fastest growing content format by far, and today we're making it available to everyone on Facebook globally," Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post. Features for Facebook Reels
Create and schedule Reels on desktop
Apart from creating Facebook Reels on iOS and Android, users will now be able to create, edit and publish Facebook Reels from web browsers via Facebook's Creator Studio. They will also be able to schedule their Reels.
Edit clips in Reels
Meta will now allow users to create clips from published, long-form videos and edit them seamlessly into a Facebook Reel via Creator Studio. The platform is rolling out new editing tools that will enable users to generate short-form Reels directly from their Live content.
New audio tools
Yes! Facebook Reels get new voiceovers support for users' recordings, so that they can narrate their videos. The company has also introduced a Sound Sync feature that will let creators sync their video clips to the beat of their favorite song. Reels features on Instagram
Longer videos upto 90 seconds
On Instagram, Meta has expanded the length of a Reel from 60 seconds to 90 seconds. This means users will now be able to share reels of upto 90 seconds. Further Meta has also brought the most popular Stories stickers to Reels including polls stickers, quiz stickers and emoji slider stickers among others. That's not all, there's a new template as well. Meta has rolled out a template feature that lets users create their own reel using the preset structure as a reel you've watched.
