After protests, Fortnite season 8 XP rewards DOUBLED
After several complaints, it looks like the company has resolved Fortnite season 8 XP issues. The latest season has started granting users double XP rewards for most challenges in the game.
Fortnite season 8 added several new elements to the game, after the new Cubed season arrived following Doctor Sloan's aggressive move against the alien invasion. However, one of the complaints many players had at the beginning was that the Fortnite season 8 XP system was flawed as it was offering lower XP for completing challenges. It looks like Epic Games has finally issued a fix that appears to have resolved these issues in the latest Fortnite update.
According to a report by Gamespot, the latest Fortnite update has started granting 30,000 XP for completing a challenge, up from the previous reward amount of around 17,000 XP per challenge. This is a large boost from the previous amount, which meant that the players would not be able to level up as quickly in the game, according to the report.

Participating in Party Quests will also grant XP to gamers, which means that joining a character's common-tier quest will award not only gold bars, but also Fortnite XP. This means that players can gain up to 500XP for completing the first quest while the Fortnite XP rewards can increase by up to 250XP (for a total of 750 XP) with each quest in progression. In total, gamers can expect to gain a total of 3,00,000 XP by completing Week 3 challenges, according to the report – much lower than the 4,00,000 XP from weekly challenges that could be gained from Season 7's XP system.
However, these are not the only changes that have come to this popular battle royale game – the report states that even non-playable character (NPC) quests in the game have increased the amount of Fortnite XP that users can get in the season. This means that while gamers could previously claim only 80,000 XP by completing a questline, they can now claim 30,000 XP for a total of 1,50,000 XP when they complete a questline for the first time, according to the report.
