Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s map size revealed
While quite a good amount of information is out there for Ubisoft’s upcoming title, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, something that still stays as a mystery is the size of the map. While many may argue that open-world games are big enough and the quality of it is also as good as it can get right now, some might want to see how much in-game travel time they are dealing with. If you have been expecting a larger map than the AC Odyssey, this will come as a good news for you.
According to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla producer Julien Laferriere, AC Valhalla’s map will be ‘slightly’ larger than AC Odyssey’s. It is worth noting that ‘slightly’ here might not seem much but considering how large Odyssey’s map already was, it might still be an expansive one. Adding to this, Laferriere told Jeux Video (via gamerant) that the Ubisoft team has made a map that includes all of England and part of Norway.
What’s interesting is that AC Valhalla may also feature ‘secret worlds’, which are not connected to the map but add to the game’s size. The details are scarce about these ‘secret worlds’, but it is being assumed that these might be similar to World War 1 sections in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Gamers could explore a certain part of London during WW1.
Whatever may be the case, a larger map means gamers might get a lot of side quests to complete besides the main story missions.
It has already been revealed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will get both male and female characters this time like it was the case in AC Odyssey, and that the Valhalla character level system will be slightly different this time.
