Horizon Zero Dawn goes from being a PS4 exclusive to a best-seller on Steam

When Horizon Zero Dawn was released in 2017 it was a PlayStation 4 exclusive. It's been three years and people still seem to be excited about this BAFTA Award-winning game that's going to launch for PC gamers in a month's time.

The game has become a best-seller on Steam, climbing to the top of the charts just on the basis of per-orders according to a report in The Indian Express. 

This open-world RPG was created by Guerilla Games and will be launching on Steam for PC players on August 7, just a month away. Horizon Dawn Zero will also be available on the Epic Games Store.

Originally released only for PS4, the PC version on release will get some new features like ultrawide display support, dynamic foliage, unlocked framerate, better reflections, deep graphics customisation settings, expanded controller options and more. All of this was revealed in a 90-second trailer that was launched for the PC game.

The arrival of Horizon Dawn Zero on Steam will give PC gamers a new franchise to try their hands on and it also might push them towards buying the PlayStation 5 since the sequel to the game, the Horizon Forbidden West, is going to come to PS5.

PlayStation Worldwide Studios' head Herman Hulst had said in March this year that the company felt that Horizon Zero Dawn should be available on other platforms too. Hulst mentioned that it was important they stayed open to new ideas as it might also introduce new gamers to the PlayStation options and show them what they've been missing.
