2/9 PUBG Mobile: This wildly popular multiplayer battle royale game is at the top of the list and it involves up to 100 players parachuting onto an island and find weapons to attack and kill their enemies. The player (or the team) to survive the longest while staying in the “safe areas” on the map wins the battle royale match. PUBG Mobile game is currently banned in India, and has been succeeded by the recently released Battlegrounds Mobile India. (PUBG/KRAFTON)

3/9 Honor of Kings: If you have played League of Legends, then the Honor of Kings game will feel very familiar, with a mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game format that allows for cross-platform play across iOS and Android. On Honor of Kings, players must gain experience and gold by killing Non-Player Characters (NPCs) and attacking the enemy’s turrets and the core building to win the game. 4/9 Among Us!: One of the more brain-twisting game titles on this list, Among Us! is a game that requires your attention and your wits without a break. Players are matched with others and placed on a virtual spaceship with either the role of Crewmates or Impostors. The job of all the gamers is to identify who the Impostors are and eliminate them from the game via voting using an Emergency meeting or reporting a dead body -- while performing tasks on the ship. Wondering whether a mob is passive, neutral or hostile? This Minecraft tips and tricks guide will tell you. (Minecraft)

With the growing number of Minecraft mobs, it can get difficult to keep track of all of them, especially if you're a beginner. Recently, The Wild update added four new mobs to the game including Warden, Frog, Tadpole and Allay. Mobs are non-playing characters in the game which are categorized into passive, neutral and hostile. It is important to know about mobs as some of them can be useful by giving out items and resources. This can be helpful in your exploration. But then again, there are some mobs which are hostile towards you and you need to stay away from them or risk being killed. So, let us check out all the details about mobs in this Minecraft tips and tricks guide.

Passive mobs

Passive mobs will not attack the players and will run away when being attacked. They are some of the most common mobs in the game. Many of them give resources and items that can help you move forward in the game. In 2022, these are all the mobs that you will encounter in Minecraft:

Allay, Axolotl, Bat, Cat, Chicken, Cod, Cow, Donkey, Fox, Frog, Glow Squid, Horse, Mooshroom, Mule, Ocelot, Parrot, Pig, Pufferfish, Rabbit, Salmon, Sheep, Skeleton Horse, Snow Golem, Squid, Strider, Tadpole, Tropical Fish, Turtle, Villager, Wandering Trader

Among them, all farm mobs like cows, chickens, pigs, horses etc give you meat. You can also ride horses. You can use fish for meat as well. Some mobs give you decorative pieces and important resources under specific conditions.

Neutral mobs

These mobs will not attack you unless you attack them first. Otherwise they will behave exactly like a passive mob. Some of them are mildly attacking in nature and will let you go if you evade their sight. However, some will not stop at any cost. Check their list:

Bee, Cave, Spider, Dolphin, Enderman, GoatIron, Golem, Llama, Panda, Piglin, Polar Bear, Spider, Trader Llama, Wolf, Zombified Piglin

Among them, you can tame some neutral mobs like bees, pandas and llamas. But before taming them, they will remain neutral and can attack you.

Hostile mobs

These are the most dangerous mobs in the game. Their whole purpose is to kill the main player. They have different weapons and ways to attack and kill you. Some let you run away while others will chase you. In most cases however, you will have to kill them before continuing on your journey. They include:

Blaze, Chicken Jockey, Creeper, Drowned, Elder Guardian, Endermite, Evoker, Ghast, Guardian, Hoglin, Husk, Magma Cube, Phantom, Piglin Brute, Pillager, Ravager, Shulker, Silverfish, Skeleton, Skeleton Horseman, Slime, Spider Jockey, Stray, Vex, Vindicator, Warden, Witch, Wither Skeleton, Zoglin, Zombie, Zombie Villager
