On Fortnite this week, Wonder Woman! Is it free? Here is how to add the character to your collection

The action on Fortnite is all set to get even better with the arrival of a female action character in the form of Wonder Woman. To download the skin for free, gamers will have to battle it out or pay the price. (Epic Games)

Developer Epic Games has announced the action on Fortnite is all set to heat up even more this week. It has revealed that Wonder Woman skin will be arriving soon for downloading on Fortnite. The latest character from the DC Comics universe to arrive to the popular battle royale game has appeared on a shiny new poster shared by Epic that gives players a good look at the Wonder Woman character before its store debut later this week.

Fortnite's developer Epic Games revealed that Wonder Woman would be arriving on the island on Wednesday, at 8 PM Eastern Time. This means that gamers in India who are waiting for Wonder Woman to arrive in the game will have to wait till 5:30 AM on August 19, which is a day later. Wonder Woman follows that of another DC Comics' character, which was Superman. He arrived on the game last week as his alter ego Clark Kent. Notably, users can still unlock his character in the game by completing certain quests.

Epic says that gamers will be able to ''earn'' the Wonder Woman character/skin along with the new Back Bling, and this will be possible through the upcoming Wonder Woman Cup. It will be available for users to participate in as soon as the character arrives on the in-game Fortnite store. It won't be easy, though - players will have to compete in twos in 10 Duos matches and the developers will identify the teams that have collected the most points in 10 matches and three hours. These teams will be able to unlock the Wonder Woman character as well as the Back Bling.

For users who don't want to bother with battling it out for the new Wonder Woman character/skin in the game, it will also be available in the Fortnite store for purchase by using V-Bucks, the in-game currency used to purchase items in the game. The price of the skin is currently not known, but gamers will be able to purchase the skin with the standard and Armoured variants. The skin will also come with a net a Golden Eagle Wings Glider, Athena's Battleaxe, DC Trinity Loading Screen, and Diana's Mantle Back Bling, according to Epic Games.
