Now in this new season, players will get the opportunity to catch Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Tapu Koko, Rockruff, Pikipek, and Jangmo-o. Pokemon Go Alola Season

The new tropical season of Alola starts on March 1, 2022. One of the main attractions of the season will be the Tropical Collection Challenge where players will get a chance to catch and collect Alola specific Pokemon in the game. Once a player has captured all the new Pokemon, they would be rewarded with 7,000 XP and 15 Ultra Balls. Additionally, they will also inch towards their elite collector medal.

Apart from the main challenge, there are also other events which will be taking place simultaneously. There will be one-star, three-star, five-star and mega raids where players will have to catch specific Pokemon. For the event, some of the Pokemon will appear in their Alolan avatar and will serve as a nice collectible. There are also field research tasks like previous seasons that players will have to participate in. Finally, there is a shiny Yungoos roaming around and if you're lucky, you may just catch it!

Pokemon Go March 2022 events

Pokemon Go Alola season is not all you get this month. Players will find it interesting to note that there are several other events scheduled for March. Pokemon Go March 2022 events include ‘Welcome to Alola', the event discussed above. Apart from that Festival of Colors will begin on March 15 and continue till March 20th. This event is added to the game to celebrate the festival of Holi. Niantic posted, “You can experience a fluttering of festive hues during the Festival of Colors” which most likely means some thematic changes to the game but no real gameplay change.

From March 22 to March 29, players will see the Lush Jungle event where Niantic will be bringing in multiple raids to capture special Pokemon. Check below to see more details on the raids.

The legendary Alolan Pokemon and guardian deity of the region Tapu Koko will make its debut during the five-star raids. Therian Forme Tornadus will also be appearing in five-star raids. You can capture Tapu Koko between March 1 - 15 and Tornadus between March 15-22. Also in the same time frame, Mega raids will also take place. Between March 1-15, you can capture Mega Venusaur, between March 15-22, you can catch Mega Lopunny and between March 22-April 5, you stand a chance to catch Mega Charizard Y.
