PUBG 2 is creating quite a buzz among gamers with its expected launch date. Gamers all over the world have loved playing PUBG, PUBG New State and they have also been eagerly waiting for a new game to be launched by Krafton. Dubbed as PUBG 2, the company has been quite coy about revealing its roll out date. Well, while there is no official statement regarding PUBG 2 launch date but, the developer Krafton's CEO Kim Chang-Han has spoken about it. In a statement to Bloomberg, earlier this year, he had said that the company will introduce a new battle royale title called PUBG 2 as a survival horror game (confirmed as the Callisto Protocol) for the game lovers that would depict the PUBG universe three centuries into the future, according to a report by updatefever.

While a Twitter user PlayerIGN has informed about the release date via a tweet. The tweet says, "PUBG confirms PUBGMobile2 release for this year and a PUBG PC & Console game release in 2022. Based on previous sources, the PC & Console game is likely to be named: PUBG2. PUBG 2 mobile game is a sequel made in-house by PUBG Lite's head," he tweeted. PUBG 2 can be seen as a sequel to PUBG. As per the documents shared by PlayerIGN, Krafton Amsterdam is hiring a technical art director and technical animator to work on a “new unannounced project" based on Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.

He also informed that Krafton had discussed upgrading PUBG to Unreal Engine 5 in an internal meeting. PUBG, which was released in the year 2017, and the recently launched PUBG New State are amongst the most popular games worldwide. These games have also undergone several updates in recent times to bring more security to the players. PUBG, provides battle royale gaming experience to its users and is also credited for popularising this segment.

It can be noted that in India, Krafton has taken over the reigns of PUBG Mobile from Tencent after government backlash in the country against the Chinese tech giant. It has launched Battlegrounds Mobile India as the replacemnt for the popular PUBG game.
