PUBG Mobile 1.9 update has been released and it brings a wide range of changes including new area, an anniversary event, supply shop upgrades and more. Check out the details.
The PUBG Mobile 1.9 update is finally here. Players on both Android and iOS can now download everything new that comes with it. Players should look to update the game at the earliest as the publishers have announced that anyone who installs the new update before March 22 will get 3,000 BP, 100 AG, and a Nocturnal Rhapsody Helmet (for three days). The main highlight of this update is the new anniversary event which marks the 4 years to the game's release. Interestingly, PUBG Mobile was first released four years ago, today on March 19, 2018. Let us check out everything new and exciting in this update.
PUBG Mobile 1.9 Update
The new update brings a lot of new features and events to the game and also improves existing features to make it better. There is a new arena, an anniversary event, aerial battlegrounds, bicycles and much more to be explored.
Vibrant Anniversary Event
A new game mode has been released to celebrate the 4th anniversary of PUBG Mobile. It is available in the Erangel and Livik maps. In this mode, players can see four giant statues that players can paint in different colors that will trigger a special performance.
In the anniversary event, players can participate in aerial battlegrounds. These battlegrounds will have colorful outfits for players to wear. Everytime a player is shot, the headcover, which is shaped like a balloon, grows in size and pulls the player mid-air. Team-mates can shoot him to decrease the size of the headcover and bring him back to the ground. Any player killed in this battleground will be respawned. This mode will exist for just the first five minutes of the game.
The PUBG Mobile 1.9 update also brings bicycles to the game. These are folding mountain bicycles that players can carry in the bag. The bicycles cannot be destroyed and make very little noise, making it a great way to sneak around the map.
Royal Arena: Assault
Available from April 7, this new mode will be available on Erangel and Livik. A random area of the map will be picked as the combat zone and a 4vs4 battle will ensue. First team to reach the elimination milestone wins.
Improvements to existing features
• The number of supply shops have been increased by a significant margin and the cost of supplies have also been changed. AWM and Ghillie suits will no longer be available in supply shops in Erangel and Livik maps.
• In the unranked modes and the vibrant anniversary ranked modes, every player will get a chance to return to the battlefield after being eliminated with the recall feature. Team-mates can recall players using the recall tower.
• The bridge to the military base on Erangel has been upgraded with a platform on both sides. It is designed to provide more cover to players looking to cross.
Disclaimer: Do note that PUBG Mobile is banned in India. Indian players can play and enjoy the Indian version of the battle royale game called Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI instead.
