Resident Evil 8: Village listing spotted, might be revealed at PS5 Gameplay Event
Many of the older Resident Evil games went on sale recently prompting fans to believe that a new announcement is coming soon.
We have seen a number of leaks and rumours about the Resident Evil 8: Village this year already. The remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 are already out and Resident Evil 7 launched in 2017, so it's time that fans got some new Resident Evil content to continue where the story left off.
A listing was spotted on the German retailer GamesOnly site, and has been removed since, that confirmed Resident Evil 8: Village along with mock box art and a tagline that states that it might be the “darkest and cruelest addition to the franchise”.
The listing was spotted by @KenXyro on Twitter. The link now just redirects to the main GamesOnly page.

The box art you see is “non-official artwork” and has a GamesOnly watermark so it's highly possible that the original cover will look nothing like this when the game is finally announced.
The leaked listing has sparked plenty of speculation and rumours with people predicting that this game might be a part of the PlayStation 5 reveal event showcase which is scheduled for June 11. The reveal was supposed to happen on June 4 and has been postponed to this week since the company felt that it was time for more important voices, like of the Black Lives Matter protests, to be heard instead of game announcements.
I'm like 99% sure now RE8 is at the PS5 reveal event. As others noticed, all the RE games went on sale yesterday, & RE7 in particular went on the deepest discount it's EVER had by a long shot, around the same time the PS5 reveal event was supposed to happen yesterday. So yeah.

In tandem with the June 4 schedule, older Resident Evil games went on sale prompting many to believe that the sale would be followed by a big announcement about a new game.
