ROG Showdown Series to kick off soon, ₹1,90,000 prize pool at play
The registrations will start from January 23 with the tournament itself kicking off on January 29. This is the second edition of the ROG Showdown Series.
ROG Showdown is back for 2021 with a whole bunch of online tournaments for gaming enthusiasts like last year. If you have been gaming through the pandemic, this is a tournament you could test out your skills at.
The registrations for the tournament will start from January 23. Interested participants and teams can register on the ROG Showdown website.
The tournament itself will commence from January 29 and go on till March 26. Participants will get a chance to choose from a series of tournaments amongst the most popular games including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO), PUBG PC, Valorant, League of Legends (LOL), Valorant League etc.
Overall, there is a prize pool of ₹1,90,000 to play for. And even if you don't win big, you can participate and stand a chance to win up to $300 in Steam wallet codes (that's ₹21,892 approx).
Republic of Gamers (ROG) organised ROG Showdown in three phases, last year. The first edition of the ROG Showdown saw close to 7,000 participants take part in the tournament.
The event saw the participation of multiple professional e-sports teams from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The first edition of ROG Showdown concluded in December 2020 with winners taking home ₹5,60,000 in prize money.
