Reliance JioBook has been in the news for quite some time. Earlier this year, reports suggested that Reliance Jio will launch its first ever laptop alongside the JioPhone Next smartphone at the time of the company’s annual general meeting or AGM. But that didn’t happen. Now, Reliance Jio’s first ever laptop has been spotted on Geekbench, which has reignited the rumours around its launch.

As per reports, three Reliance JioBook models have already passed through the BIS certification site. These models are NB1112MM, NB1148QMW, and NB1118QMW. Now, the JioBook model number NB1112MM has appeared on Geekbench, revealing the key specifications of the JioBook laptop ahead of launch. The Geekbench listings shows that the upcoming JioBook laptop scored 1,178 in the single-core and 4,246 in the multi-core tests.

In addition to the tests, the Geekbench listing shows that the JioBook laptop will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT8788 SoC that is coupled with 2GB of RAM. These details are unlike a lot of older reports that suggested that the JioBook laptop will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon that will be coupled with 2GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage and 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage variants. Processing and storage capabilities aside, the JioBook laptop is tipped to run on Android 11 out of the box with the company’s own JioOS skin on top.

Beyond this, information about the JioBook laptop is scarce at the moment. However, older reports suggest that JioBook laptop’s display will come with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Details about its size are not known at the moment. Apart from this, the JioBook laptop is also tipped to get an HDMI connector, 4G LTE, Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi for connectivity. It is also expected to feature support for the Jio app including JioPages, JioMeet, and JioStore. In addition to that, the JioBook laptop is also expected to include apps such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Edge among others.

    JioBook expected price

As far as the pricing of the JioBook laptop is concerned, there is no word on the matter yet. We expect to know more closer to the launch date of the laptop.
