Samsung has announced new features coming to the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+. The new features will be available as part of a software update that's coming in Q1 2021. Samsung is also bringing the Galaxy Buds Pro's 360 audio feature to the Tab S7 series.

The new features are primarily for the S Pen on the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+. With the new update, the S Pen will be able to fill in address boxes. Anything written will be converted into digital text including punctuation marks. Users can leave spaces by drawing a ‘v' and ‘⌒' to connect separate words.

Samsung is also bringing a new pen type for the Samsung Notes app. This ‘Pen to text' feature essentially turns handwritten notes into digital text. It will be available in 80 languages, and Samsung says it will be able to detect any punctuation and spacing. Scanning on the Galaxy Tab S7 series is also getting an upgrade. “Simply tap the ‘Attach' icon in the app, scan your document, and get to work making notes directly on the scanned document,” Samsung explained in a blog post.

Lastly, the 360 audio feature that Samsung introduced with the Galaxy Buds Pro will be available for Galaxy Tab S7 users. This feature uses a motion-tracking sensor that will pinpoint the direction of your media's sound on the tablet. It basically syncs the audio with your head movements. Samsung also made this feature available to more devices with the One UI 3.1 update.
