Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 to get 25W fast charging support
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Fold 2 along with its Note 20 series smartphone at its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5.
Samsung is expected to host its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5 wherein it would unveil its Galaxy 20 series smartphone. In addition to the Note series, the company will also unveil the Galaxy Fold 2, which will succeed last year’s Galaxy Fold smartphone. Now, a new report says that the Galaxy Fold 2 will come with a 25W fast charger.
Samsung’s upcoming foldable display smartphone has been spotted on China’s 3C certification site. The listing, which was first discovered by the Korean site IT Home, has revealed that the Galaxy Fold 2 with the model number SM-F9160 will feature 5G support along with support for 25W fast charging technology.
Notably, 25W fast charging support isn’t exactly new for Samsung smartphones. The Korean giant in the past has bundled a 25W fast charger with its Galaxy S10 5G smartphone and its Note 10 lineup. However, it is the first time that such a technology will be included in the company’s Galaxy Fold lineup. The Samsung Galaxy Fold that was launched in 2019 featured support for 15W fast charging technology.
Meanwhile, reports in the past hint towards the Galaxy Fold 2 getting a 7.59-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is expected to get 256GB of storage capacity along with a 4,365mAh battery. In terms of the camera, the phone is expected to get a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel primary sensor, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens. It is likely to get two front cameras that will be expected to be housed inside a punch hole display. It is expected to be priced between $1,880 ( ₹1,40,267 approximately) and ₹$1895 ( ₹1,41,360 approximately).
