Airtel partners with Lionsgate to bring Hollywood movies to Airtel Xstream Box

The Airtel Xstream TV Box is priced at 3,999 for new customers and existing Airtel DTH users can upgrade to the Android box for 2,249.

Bharti Airtel on Tuesday announced that it had partnered with Lionsgate. As a part of this partnership, Airtel users will be able to access the entire catalogue of movies offered by Lionsgate on their Airtel Xstream Android 4K TV Box. The announcement comes almost a year after catalogue was available in the Airtel Xstream app.

Airtel said that as a part of this partnership, the fast-growing base of users of Airtel Xstream Box will have easy access to premium Hollywood content by Lionsgate Play on the big screens in the comfort of their homes. This will include multiple hours of Ultra HD content, complementing Airtel Xtream’s extensive high-quality programming.

This partnership also enables Lionsgate Play to showcase blockbusters including titles such as John Wick, La La Land, Knives Out, Twilight in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bhojpuri also to reach out to regional language cinephiles. In addition to this, viewers will be able to enjoy movies from various genres such as action, thriller, horror, comedy, drama and documentaries.

To give you a quick brief about the Airtel Xstream Box, it turns a TV into a smart TV by giving users access to all live TV channels on their television. It is powered by Android 9.0 and it comes with a remote that features support for Google Assistant voice search and gives access to thousands of apps on Play Store and online gaming. The Airtel Xstream TV Box is priced at 3,999 for new customers and existing Airtel DTH users can upgrade to the Android box for 2,249.
