Best known for its work on the 'BioShock' series, Irrational Games shut down in February 2014, not long after having shipped 'BioShock Infinite' and its expansions.
And 'The Black Glove' appears to share the 'BioShock' worlds' fascination with detailed, historically inspired environments.
In a 1920s theater called The Equinox, where an artist, a filmmaker and a music group are in residence, players can alter the past in order to change the quality and style of each creative's present-day output.
Feedback from critics helps players decide what they should change next, but the team at Day For Night Games hopes that even wayward results will contain enough intrinsic value to hold players' interest.
Set to last until November 7, 'The Black Glove' Kickstarter project is looking for $550,000 in order to pass its funding goal; at its lowest tier, $20 nets access to the completed game, which is expected in October 2015.
