Covid-19: YouTube shares a list of most watched PSA in India
Of the list, Google’s Thank you doctors, nurses and all healthcare workers video garnered over 59 million views.
Indian government announced a lockdown in the country on March 24 in a bid to tackle the spread of Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic, and by extension the lockdown, inducted new social norms in the country which included practicing social distancing, washing hands more frequently and for longer durations and staying indoors among other things. At a time when the country is grappling to flatten the Covid-19 curve, companies have joined the fight by veering from commercial advertising towards advocating social responsibility.
YouTube, in a bid to highlight these public service announcements (PSA) shared its first ‘most watched Public Service Announcements (PSA) Ads leaderboard' for India today.
The list includes a total of 10 ads that have garnered most views in India in the last three months. Google's Thank you doctors, nurses and all healthcare workers video was the highest grosser with over 59 million views.
