Facebook for iOS may get Dark Mode soon as feature rolls out to some users
The Facebook for iOS app may soon receive the long-awaited Dark Mode. The look and feel, however, may be different from the mode on WhatsApp and Instagram.
Facebook has begun rolling out Dark Mode support for iPhone and iPad users. The long-awaited feature has reached to a handful of users for now. The company has also confirmed the official roll-out of the feature for iOS but said it is available to “a small percentage of users globally right now.”
As said earlier, Dark Mode is one of the most awaited features on Facebook. The company has already rolled out the feature for Android users. It is worth noting that Facebook's other platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger already support Dark Mode.
According to 9to5Mac, Facebook's Dark Mode on iPhone will be slightly different from what we've seen on other platforms. The app will embrace a grayscale theme instead of offering darker black. The logos and icons will have white accents.

Users will have the flexibility to manually turn the Dark Mode on or off through Settings. There will also be an option to automatically switch on the mode based on iOS preferences. Apple had launched system-wide Dark Mode with iOS 13.
Facebook has not shared a timeline for the full-fledged roll out the Dark Mode. The company may make more changes to the design before the wider rollout. Facebook may also be working different iteration of the dark theme.
