Made by members of the team behind core PC hit 'Diablo,' 'Torchlight' was very well received. In keeping with the GOG philosophy, one shared with founding company CD Projekt RED of role-playing series 'The Witcher,' its catalogue of games are free of copyright protection measures. 'Gamers should be able to play their games on any device they own in any location, no matter the Internet quality. There is only one way to ensure that: No Digital RIghts Management,' the site explains. 'We're very glad to see that the issue of restrictive digital rights management has become an item of public debate, and we want to make sure that our #NoDRM stance is clear. None of the games in our sale have DRM, and none of our games ever will.' DRM came to the fore as Microsoft and Sony prepare to launch new consoles, with Microsoft receiving flak for outlining potential limits to the viability of second-hand and lent or borrowed games, while Sony received an E3 ovation for promising to avoid such measures.
