Even with a powerful camera and a long battery life, the iBerry Auxus Stunner fails to impress

Every '90s kid will relate to the thrill of Jonny Quest's world — the futuristic, action-packed Cartoon Network series that traced the adventures of a father-son duo in virtual reality sequences. Auxus Stunner: Virtual Reality Smartphone plans to bring such experiences closer to us. It comes with an iBerry VR headset: a bulky pair of binoculars that lets you experience games and watch films in 3D. What the phone doesn't do, however, is deliver on this promise. With an inconvenient design and plastic body, both the phone and the headset disappointed the curious Quest fans in us.

The device's biggest strength is its cameras: a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. Both are accompanied by LED flashes, ensuring clear picture quality even in low light conditions.

What's good: The handset is powered by an octa-core processor and 3GB RAM, both of which ensure smooth functioning; the phone did not hang or heat up even with multiple applications running. The interface is user-friendly and the device offers tips and tricks every time a new application is used. The handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery that keeps the phone running for a day on a single charge. What's bad: The phone's body is far from classy — the plastic finish takes away from the impressive screen graphics and makes it look cheap. The most inconvenient factor, however, was experiencing the VR features. The head gear comes with an inbuilt tray that holds the phone it its place, so as to free your hands while watching a movie. But the design of the tray is such that its edges press against the phone's power button, switching it off in the middle of your game or film. As a result, we could not view anything for more than a minute without it shutting down. Additionally, the device kept restarting automatically every few minutes.

Verdict: Auxus Stunner is decent buy if you are in need of a powerful, hassle-free phone. But if you're expecting the promised VR experience, Lenovo Vibe K4 might be a better option.
