Google celebrates R K Narayan's 108th birthday with Doodle

Google has given a tribute to R K Narayan on author's 108th birthday with their Doodle. Narayan, who is best known for his work Malgudi Days was born on 10th October, 1906 and he passed away on 13th May, 2001.

Narayan, who is best known for his work Malgudi Days was born on 10th October, 1906 and he passed away on 13th May, 2001.

The Doodle is simple with just the word 'Google' written in blue color on an earthen background with just the second 'O' signified by the head of a cartoonified author who can be seen reading Malgudi Days and just the top of his balding head is visible over the book.

The book has the title of Malgudi Days on the cover with the iconic village setting drawn under it and the back cover of the book has a black and white photograph of the author where he can be seen smiling.
