Google Chrome users are again in danger from a vulnerability that can be exploited by hackers! This has forced the Indian government to issue a high-severity warning to Google Chrome users via the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), which is part of the IT ministry. It revealed that multiple vulnerabilities exist in the Google Chrome browser that can allow hackers to access their gadgets. Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Google Chrome which can be exploited by malicious attackers which allows them to bypass all security checks on a targeted system.
In the latest warning of vulnerability note in Google Chrome for Desktop, the CERT-in said, "These vulnerabilities exist in Google Chrome due to use after free in FedCM, SwiftShader, ANGLE, Blink, Sign-in Flow, Chrome OS Shell; Heap buffer overflow in downloads, insufficient validation of untrusted input in intents, insufficient policy enforcement in Cookies and inappropriate implementation in extensions API. "

Who is in danger from the Google Chrome vulnerability?
Thankfully, not all Google Chrome users are affected by the danger of this high-severity vulnerability. But some users are not that lucky! As per the CERT-in advisory, the warning is just for users who are running an earlier version of Chrome rather than 104.0.5112.101. To avoid being the victim of any malicious act, the Indian government advised Chrome users that they should update their browsers to the latest version which was rolled out to fix the issues and improve the browser vulnerabilities.
