Google I/O 2019 kicks off today: How to watch livestream, what to expect
Google I/O 2019 developer conference kicks off in a few hours, where the company will make major announcements on new software updates. Google is also expected to launch the Pixel 3a series at I/O. Here’s everything you need to know.
In a few hours Google will kick off its annual developers conference. Google I/O 2019 will be a three-day event and it will take place in Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View, California.
Google I/O 2019 is scheduled to begin at 10:30 pm IST. Google will livestream the event via its official YouTube channel. Interested users can follow Google's social media channels for live updates as well. Google CEO Sundar Pichai will deliver the keynote at I/O.
At Google I/O the tech giant will make announcements mostly focused on the upcoming Android Q, new updates for products like Gmail, Assistant, Maps and more. This year's Google I/O will also be an interesting one with the highly expected launch of Pixel 3a series.

Google's Pixel event page which reads, "Something big is coming to the Pixel Universe" hints at the new Pixel 3a phones. The lighter and cheaper offering of Google Pixel 3, the new Pixel 3a phones have also been subject to numerous leaks already.
According to leaks, Pixel 3a will come with the same design as the Pixel 3 but in a plastic body. Google is expected to debut a new faint lavender colour with the Pixel 3a as well. In terms of specifications, Pixel 3a is expected to come with a 5.6-inch display, while the Pixel 3a XL will have a bigger 6-inch display. The new Pixel smartphones could pack 4GB of RAM and ship with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.
