Google Photos now gets a pinch-to-zoom feature for videos
The new feature will let you zoom in on your high-res videos to get a closer look at things. However, not everyone has access to this yet so you might have to wait a little.
Google has been slowly making changes to the Photos app over the last one year and the latest of it is a feature that helps improve the experience of watching a video on the app. Google Photos now allows you to pinch to zoom in on videos. You can also double tap to zoom in or zoom out.
Thanks to the new feature, once you zoom in on a video by punching out, you can trace and look at specific areas in the video and get a closer look.
You can also double tap to make the video fill out your phone's display to get a closer look as well.
To go back to the normal look and zoom out, you can pinch out or double tap again.
Reports state that the feature is only available for some users and the app version is not a factor here, so updating the app will not necessarily get you this new feature.
And this also means that this is a server-side switch so you will have to wait for a while for this to roll out for you before you can start zooming in on high-resolution videos.
