How to update your iPhone and iPad to the latest iOS 9.3
iOS 9.3 is a free-to-download software update, here’s a list of steps you should follow to upgrade to the latest version of iOS.
Alongside the high-profile launch of the 4-icnh iPhone SE and a 9.7-inch iPad Pro, Apple also announced the new iOS 9.3 operating system for the iPhone and iPad. One of the highlights of the latest version of iOS is the new Night Shift mode. The feature is primarily aimed at improving the quality of your sleep by reducing the amount of blue ligt emitted by your device.
Apple usually sends a notification when the update is available. If not, you can also go to Settings to manually check if the update is available.
Here's a list of steps you should follow to upgrade to the latest iOS 9.3.
Backup your data
Its always good to ensure that you don't lose all your photos, contacts, settings and more while upgrading from an older OS. You can backup all your data via iTunes or iCloud.
Connect to a Wi-Fi
Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi and are running iOS version 9.2.1.
Find the update
To find the update, go to Settings> General> Software Update. Then click on Download and Install.
If you're upgrading via iTunes on your Mac or Windows, find your device and then check for updates under Summary.
The new iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro will come with iOS 9.3 out-of-the-box. Owners of the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus and 5S will be eligible to upgrade to the latest version the OS.
