India ranks behind Pakistan in global mobile data speed test

While India ranked 131, Pakistan stood at the 116th spot, which is one step up from its last position. The country recorded an average download speed of 17.13Mbps and an average upload speed of 11.30Mbps.

India stood at the 131th spot in Ookla's Speedtest Global Index for mobile Internet speeds. The country slipped two positions in September in terms of the mobile data speeds. The average download speed in terms of the mobile data stood at 12.07Mbps, while the average uploading speed stood at 4.31Mbps. India also recorded a latency of 52ms in the month of September.

Interestingly, while India ranked 131, Pakistan stood at the 116th spot, which is one step up from its last position. The country recorded an average download speed of 17.13Mbps and an average upload speed of 11.30Mbps. Nepal, on the other hand, moved six notches down and ranked 118 in September's speed test. It recorded an average download speed of 17.12Mbps and an average upload speed of 10.61Mbps. Similarly, Sri Lanka ranked 102 in the mobile data speed in Ookla's speed test.

Global average in terms of the download speed stood at 35.96Mbps, while the global average upload speed stood at 11.22Mbps. The latency, on the other hand, stood 40ms.

As far as fixed broadband speeds are concerned, India stood at the 70th spot, two spots up from its last ranking. While the average download speed stood at 46.47Mbps, the average upload speed stood at 42.42Mbps with a latency of 18ms. Nepal, on the other hand, stood at 113th spot, which is two spots up from its previous spot while Pakistan stood at 159th spot, which is one spot up from its previous spot.

The global average in terms of the download speed stood at 85.73Mbps while the average upload speed stood at 45.74Mbps with a latency of 21ms.
