Indians downloaded TikTok the most in June, app becomes highest grosser: Report
India was the top country from where this app saw the most installs - 18.8%, while the US gave them 8.7 of total installs.
The latest report from Sensor Tower is out and it looks like this might be last time we will see Chinese app TikTok ruling the list. As per the report, TikTok was the top grossing app in the ‘Overall Revenue' segment followed by YouTube, Tinder, Tencent Video and iQIYI. It has been mentioned that TikTok witnessed more than $90.7 million in user spending, which was 8.3 times its revenue in June last year. Also mentioned was that roughly 89% of TikTok's revenue came from Douyin in China, while 6% was from the United States.
YouTube was the second most earning app after TikTok. Google's video creating and sharing platform earned close to $73 million in gross revenue, which also represented 48% year-over-year growth from June last year. Also mentioned was that roughly 56% of YouTube's revenue was from the US, followed by 12% from Japan.

Another report from Sensor Tower mentioned that TikTok was also the most downloaded non-gaming app worldwide for June 2020. The app saw over 87 million installs - which resulted in 52.7% increase from June last year. India was the top country from where this app saw the most installs - 18.8%, while the US gave them 8.7 of total installs. TikTok was followed by Zoom, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram in the ‘Overall downloads' list.
Zoom was downloaded close to 71.2 million times, which is 34 times more than June 2019 figures. India once again, was the leading country with the largest number of Zoom calls - 30.8%. This was followed by the US with 11.3%
