To celebrate International Women's Day 2021, which will take place on March 8, Instagram has announced that it will be rolling out new stickers illustrated by diverse women around the world. As mentioned by the company, “stickers stand in solidarity with front line workers who assumed so much responsibility through the pandemic, with mothers, those among the limb disability community, with elderly Asian women who faced racism, and all the communities of support that have sparked joy in the lives of women all over the world.”

Facebook-owned photo sharing platform is also promoting the stickers and International Women's Day 2021 with the hashtag #IWD2021.

Tara Bedi, who is the Public Policy and Community Outreach Manager for Instagram in India, has also shared a post on the platform, showing the new stickers. When you are creating a story, it is possible to simply swipe up from the bottom and use the stickers, just like you do for any other sticker.

It is worth mentioning that just last month, Apple also introduced a new Apple Watch challenge in celebration of International Women's Day. The International Women's Day challenge has a virtual trophy and animated stickers on completing it.

The challenge requires Apple Watch users to complete a workout of at least 20 minutes or more on International Women's Day. The desired workout can be chosen by the Apple Watch user, and it can be a 20-minute yoga session or a 20-minute run. Basically, the workout has to be recorded on the Workout app or any app that can be synced with the Health app.
