JioFiber users are getting Lionsgate streaming service for free: Here’s how you can get it
Reliance Jio on Wednesday announced that it has formed an alliance with Hollywood streaming service Lionsgate. As a part of this partnership, JioFiber users will get a complimentary access to Lionsgate’s OTT platform, Lionsgate Play.
Simply said, JioFiber users will get access to the entire library of premium content from Lionsgate Play for free. This includes over 7,500 distinct premium television episodes and feature films, including STARZ original series and first-run movies. Additionally, JioFiber users will also get access to Lionsgate Play’s regional content, which is available in six Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bhojpuri.
As far as the availability is concerned, all new and existing JioFiber users who have subscribed to JioFiber’s Silver multi-month and above plans will get the access to Lionsgate Play. However, new JioFiber users who subscribe to JioFiber’s Silver monthly plan will get access to the Lionsgate Play for the first three recharges only.
All JioFiber subscribers, who are eligible for the complimentary Lionsgate Play offer can access the content from the JioTV+ app on their Jio set-top boxes. The company says that no separate log-in or downloading of apps is required to access the Lionsgate content.
In addition to access to Lionsgate Play, JioFiber users also get a complimentary access to Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLiv, Zee5, SunNxt, Voot, AltBalaji, Hoichoi, ShemarooMe, Jio Cinema and JioSaavn. Subscribers of the JioFiber Gold plan or above also get access to a complimentary subscription of Amazon Prime Video.
Notably, the announcement comes nearly two weeks after Jio started offering a complimentary subscription of Zee5 to the subscribers who have opted for its Silver quaterly plan or above.
