The game is a loot driven, first person shooter sprinkled with Role Playing Game (RPG) elements. It transports players to the fictional yet barbaric world of Pandora where they step into the boots of four vault hunters, each armed with distinct abilities. If running and gunning is your thing, go ahead with the 'Commando' class, while if you're more of the tactical kind, the 'Assassin' will complement your play style. Disciples of the elemental arts can chose to play as the 'Siren' while the 'Gunzerker' is made for those with itchy fingers.

The game plays out like a conventional RPG, where you undertake quests, shoot enemies in the face, level up your character and of course, enjoy the bazillion weapons it has to offer. The game does have a few pacing issues with certain quests ending up being repetitive. But thankfully, the gunplay is solid enough to allow players to overlook this inconvenience.

Platforms: Xbox 360 ( 2,499), PS3 ( 2,499), PC ( 999)

Rating: 4/5

Also play: RAGE, Fallout: New Vegas, Dead Island

Verdict: Add to a four player co-operative mayhem and you're looking at a shooter that offers plenty of bang for your buck.
