Spotify Lite reveals most streamed tracks, top countries as it completes one year

Spotify Lite has completed a year as the smaller and lighter version of the music streaming app. Spotify Lite is available in 37 markets globally including India. As Spotify Lite completed a year, the company shared some stats on the app's growth.
Overall, Spotify Lite has its most active user base in Brazil followed by Mexico. India stands at the third position for Spotify Lite's top markets globally. After India comes Indonesia and Argentina. This is based on the amount of music users have listened to on Spotify Lite. The company also highlighted that in India, 75% of the listener base on Spotify Lite is users up to 29 years of age.
In India, local content is quite popular among users on Spotify Lite. The top tracks on Spotify Lite in India include “Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage by Arijit Singh, Mithoon, “Ghungroo by Arijit Singh, Shilpa Rao, “Illegal Weapon 2.0” by Garry Sandhu, Jasmine Sandlas, “Señorita” by Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and “Tum Hi Aana by Jubin Nautiyal, Payal Dev. Globally, “Señorita” is the most streamed track on Spotify Lite followed by “Dance Monkey” and “Tusa”.
When it comes to podcasts, the top streamed ones are PURIJAGANNADH, The Ranveer Show, and Bhaskar Bose. Among cities where Spotify Lite is used most are Kolkata, Delhi, Pune, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati, Hyderabad and Patna.
Spotify has also further reduced the app's size by 15%. When it officially launched last year after coming out of beta, Spotify Lite was 10MB in size. The app is available only on Android, and it can be used alongside the main Spotify app as well.
