The tech world today was dominated by OnePlus entering the mid-budget smartphone market segment with the launch of the OnePlus Nord. In addition to the OnePlus Nord, the company also launched its first TWS earphones, the OnePlus Buds.

Apart from OnePlus, Zoom made headlines for announcing its plans of launching a technology centre in India.

OnePlus Nord launched

OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord smartphone. The phone comes with a starting price of 24,999 for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage capacity. It will go on sale in India via Amazon India, Oneplus.in and partner stores starting August 4.

OnePlus Buds launched

OnePlus also launched its first TWS earphones, the OnePlus Buds, in India. The OnePlus Buds are priced at 4,999 and will go on sale in India via Amazon India, Oneplus.in and partner stores starting August 4.

Infinix 4 Plus launched in India

Infinix launched a new budget smartphone, the Infinix 4 Plus, in India today. The newly launched budget smartphone is priced at 7,999 and it will go on sale in India via Flipkart on July 28.

Amazon Prime Day 2020 announced

Amazon today announced its annual Prime Day 2020 sale in India. The sale will begin at midnight on August 6 and will run for 48 hours until midnight of August 8.

Zoom announces a technology centre in Bengaluru

Zoom today announced that it will be opening a technology centre in Bengaluru. It will also hire key talents in the country. The company said that it will start recruiting DevOps engineers, IT, security, and business operations headcount soon and that the employees will work from home until the pandemic-related threat subsides.
