Telegram’s latest update brings multiple pinned messages, Live Location 2.0, and more
Telegram has rolled out a new update with multiple new features. The update is available for both Android and iOS users.
Telegram has rolled out a new update with new features such as multiple pinned messages, Live Location 2.0, and improved Playlist sharing option. The instant messaging app has received a new Channel Post Stats that helps admins of a channel to better gauge the performance of a message shared in a group. Telegram has also rolled out a new set of stickers and animations themed on Halloween for Android users.
First up is the multiple pinned messages. As the name implies, it allows users to pin multiple messages at a time. Available for channel and group admins, this allows a member to tap and switch to different messages. The feature is also available for a one-on-one chat.
Live Location 2.0 is an improved version of the previous feature as it brings an alert system with a notification whenever the person has come closer to a person with whom their live location is shared. Users have the flexibility to set this proximity in accordance with the distance. It could be 0.5km, 1km, and so on. The updated version also gives a movement direction of users with a pointed arrow.

“Channel Post Stats is another useful feature for admins of Channels, especially in the larger ones. Now admins can monitor the performance of specific messages shared in terms of views and number of times it has forwarded to other Channels. Moreover, it will provide the admin with a list of Public Channels where the message has been re-shared,” said Telegram in a release.
