Vivo has rolled out a new firmware update for its Vivo Nex smartphone, which launched in India earlier this week. The latest update brings a slew of under-the-hood updates including optimisation for camera. The update version 1.7.14 is being rolled out over-the-air.
Vivo Nex's latest software update brings a more stable system. Under the system, the update brings a number of optimisations. According to the update log, compatibility with third-party applications, and camera performance have been optimised.
There's also an improvement to the fluidness and stability of the system operation. The update also improves the user interface display and optimises visual effects.
The firmware update also includes optimisation for call details to improve call quality as well as enhancement to the network adaptability of the phone and other optimisations for network functions-related stability.
Vivo Nex: Full specifications
Vivo Nex sports a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080x2316 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It runs on FuntouchOS (based on Android Oreo) and is powered by Qualcomm's top-end Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM. The phone comes with 128GB of built-in storage.
In the camera department, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The sensor is embedded into a pop-out motorised module. On the back it has 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors.
In terms of connectivity, Vivo Nex comes with dual-SIM (nano+nano), Blutooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
