WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will make it easier to search for stickers on the app. This feature will show suggestions for stickers that match what you type in the chat bar on WhatsApp. It's similar to apps like Gboard which offers sticker suggestions.

This feature is currently under development, and it's not available to even beta testers yet. According to screenshots shared by WABetaInfo, this feature works for stickers saved in your sticker library. It will analyse the first word typed in the search bar and if it's similar to any of your saved stickers, it will show the relevant ones. Once you type a word such as “love” in the chat bar, you'll have to press the sticker icon that appears on the right side of the chat bar. WhatsApp will then show stickers that are related to love.

In the current test, this feature works only with stickers from WhatsApp. It isn't compatible with third-party sticker packs. But WABetaInfo noted that the developer is working on providing support for third-party stickers as well. This isn't a major update but it will surely be helpful as it will provide quick access to stickers. It also won't require users to always search through the sticker library.

There's no word on when this feature will roll out but it's expected to be available soon. In the meanwhile you can check out the six new sticker packs released by WhatsApp. The latest sticker pack collection includes Egg And Chup, Realistic Rabbit, Betakkuma 2, Square Cheese's Daily Life, Woman Cactus and A Burdensome Pigeon Named Eagle.
