Xiaomi now sells an Anti-viral T-Shirt in India! Yes, we aren't kidding. The Mi Performance T-Shirt claims to have anti-viral and anti-bacterial coating on it to keep certain pathogens away, or at least keep from build-up. The t-shirt also comes with UV rays protection. Xiaomi is selling the Mi Performance T-shirt at a price of Rs. 699 via its own website as of now. The t-shirt is only available in single black colour variant.

“Antimicrobial fabrics treated with Ultra-Fresh offer effective performance even after multiple cleanings or extended exposure to environmental stresses, while the Dritech+ technology uses a permeable fabric structure to reduce the temperature differential between inside and outside by up to 2 degrees. UVA, UVB protection makes it safe for you during outdoor sports activities. The yarn is treated with anti-viral coating and knitting technology used to keep pore size less than 120 nanometers making it impossible for any virus or bacteria to penetrate,” says Xiaomi in a press note.

This is not the first time Xiaomi is selling its clothing in India. Previously, the company had launched a couple of T-shirts across various price points. The company had even launched the Mi Eco Active T-Shirt S that was made entirely out of recycled plastic bottles.

Xiaomi has been rapidly expanding its product offering in India ever since 2022 began. The company started the year with its Xiaomi 11i series, which included the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge that introduced the country's first phone to have a 120W fast charging solution. Xiaomi followed it up with the high-end Xiaomi 11T Pro that offered the Snapdragon 888 chip and the 120W fast charging solution.

Earlier in February, the company's Redmi division announced the Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S in India. These phones were accompanied by a Redmi 43-inch smart TV and the Redmi Smart Band Pro fitness tracker.

While Xiaomi remains tight-lipped on its upcoming launches, rumours have it that India could see the Redmi Note 11 Pro phones in India soon. The global markets have already seen the 4G-only Redmi Note 11 Pro and a Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. The 4G variant relies on the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset while the 5G variant relies on the Snapdragon 695 chip; the same one that power the Vivo T1 5G and Motorola Moto G71 5G.
