Xiaomi launched the Mi Band 5 earlier this month in China. The company is now expected to bring the fitness band to India soon as the Mi Band 5 has received BIS certification.

Xiaomi Mi Band 5 with the model number XMSH10HM is listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards website. This confirms that the Mi Band 5 will make its debut in India soon. It could take some time though going by Xiaomi's past schedule. The Mi Band 4 which launched last June in China made its way to India in September.

Xiaomi hasn't teased the launch of Mi Band 5 in India yet. There's no confirmation either on whether the NFC variant of Mi Band 5 will be available in India. It comes in a non-NFC variant as well which is priced around 2,100. The NFC variant of Mi Band 5 retails at around 2,500.

The Mi Band 5 has a 1.2-inch display with over 100 new watch faces featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, Case Closed, Hatsune Miku and more. The Mi Band 5 also has a magnetic charging dock so you don't need to remove the straps anymore.

Xiaomi's latest fitness band supports up to 11 sport modes. There's a Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) feature that gives users better insight of their workouts. Sleep monitoring has been improved by 40% on the Mi Band 5 with data on REM sleep.

Another important feature on the Mi Band 5 is menstrual cycle tracking. It's available as women's health mode on the fitness band. The Mi Band 5 can also be used to control the phone's camera remotely. Overall, the design of the Mi Band 5 is similar to the Mi Band 4. It has different coloured straps of black, blue, pink, orange, purple, yellow and green.
