Beyond Go, Pokemon Go's biggest update so far
Pokemon Go will be adding seasons, faster leveling up for players, Pokemon from Kalos, and lots more in ‘Go Beyond’.
Pokemon Go is receiving its biggest update since the app launched almost four years back. Pokemon Go is redesigning its level-up system, adding Kalos region, a new 12-day friendship event and more. The new ‘Go Beyond' update will start rolling out from November 30 onwards.
Niantic is rebalancing leveling up in Pokemon Go, and players on level 40 will have the ability to jump to level 50. There's an entire list of challenges to upgrade to level 50 which can be found here. Pokemon Go players will now earn more XP from catching Pokemon, evolving Pokemon, hatching eggs, registering new Pokedex entries, and more. Some players can even earn double the XP than what they get now. This should help in increasing the levels for Pokemon Go players starting November 30. As for those who reach level 40 before December 31, 2020, they'll earn the title of Legacy 40 Trainer and get some exclusive rewards as well.
Pokemon Go: Seasons will be a new way of experiencing real-world seasons in the game. Every three months a new season will take over Pokemon Go along with more Pokemon in the wild, season-related Pokemon, in-game events and more. New seasons will also bring updates to Mega-Evolved Pokemon. This also brings changes to Go Battle League which will expand from 10 to 24 ranks, new reward structure, and more.
Pokemon originally discovered in Kalos region will now be visible from December 2 onwards. You can expect to see Pokemon such as Chepsin, Fennekin, Froakie, Fletchling, and their Evolutions. The highly anticipated Greninja and Talonflame! Pyroar will also be up for grabs. You can find the full list of new Pokemon here.
Pokemon Go is also starting its 12 Days of Friendship with a series of bonuses available today. There will be more events like December Community Day and holiday events next month.
