Google Stadia may soon get support for Safari in iOS 14
Google has added support for six new games in Stadia Pro. The list includes Sniper Elite 4, Risk of Rain 2, The Gardens Between, Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek, Republique and Sundered: Eldritch Edition.
Google launched its cloud-based game streaming service, Stadia, in 2019. At the time, the service was available on select Android devices. Over time, the company has not only included support for more Android devices, but it has also Web and Chromecast. Now, word is that the company is gearing to bring the gaming service to Apple devices.
Gem Stadia (via 9To5 Google) has found changes in the source code of Google Stadia's Web app. The change in the code reveals that the company is making changes to the gaming service such that it would gain support for a new web browser that is neither Chrome nor the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge web browser.
The tipster has also found specific references to ‘iPhone', ‘iPad' and ‘Safari', which indicate that Google is planning to add support for Apple's Safari web browser to Stadia. The report also states that the feature is still in the developmental phase, which means that it will be sometime before iPhone (or iPad) users get to access Google Stadia on their devices.
Separately, Google has added support for six new games in Stadia Pro. The list includes Sniper Elite 4, Risk of Rain 2, The Gardens Between, Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek, Republique and Sundered: Eldritch Edition. In addition to that, Google announced that it will host the SUPERHOT Pumpkin Spiced Challenge through November 7.
