Sony PS5: New images tell us how big Sony’s gaming console really is
Sony PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition will be available starting November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea for $499.99 and $399.99 respectively.
Sony finally revealed the pricing and the availability for its PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition gaming consoles at its PS5 Showcase Event last week. At the time, the company also shared the details about the device's dimensions. However, those dimensions didn't include the largest projections of the device. But now, Taiwan's National Communications Commission has provided us with the first close-up look of Sony's gaming console.
These images give us a glimpse of how big Sony's PS5 gaming console really is. Interestingly, an earlier report by The Verge states that the Sony PS5 is the biggest gaming console launched in recent times. The report says that it's bigger than PS3 60GB and Xbox. It is even bigger than the recently launched Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S gaming controls.
Coming back to the PS5, Sony says that it measures 390mm x 104mm x 260mm approximately. The PS5 Digital Edition, on the other hand, measures 390mm x 92mm x 260mm. These dimensions exclude the base and the largest projection.
Sony PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition will be available starting November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea for $499.99 ( ₹36,805 approximately) and $399.99 ( ₹29,444 approximately) respectively. They will be available globally in Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia, and South Africa starting November 19.
