The 21-year-old Tony Hawk Pro Skater game franchise is getting an upgrade this year and this time developer Activision is taking us back to THPS 1 and 2, the first two titles in the series. However, it will be remastered with high-end graphics and better gameplay. Tony Hawk Pro Skater's first and second version came back in 1999 and 2000 on PlayStation. However, the franchise got 14 more iterations after that, excluding Tony Hawk's Skate Jam, which was made available on Android and iOS, and was also the last title using the popular skateboarder's name before the THPS 1+2.

The new title was announced earlier this week and will be coming really soon. So if you are excited about it, here's everything you should need to know.

-Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be released on September 4, 2020. This is also the time around which we will see other popular titles dropping including the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles.

-The title will cost at a suggested retail price of $39.99. There is a digital deluxe version as well that includes ‘unique content' and gear for $49.99.

-It has not been confirmed if there will be a separate version for Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 consoles. However, it will be coming to Xbox One family, PlayStation 4, 4 Pro and PC.

-This new remastered version of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 will now support 4K resolution and 60fps.

-Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 will include original levels, pro skaters, tricks, modes, and songs. These will come along with online multiplayer mode.

-There will be full original roster of pro skaters including Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Bucky Lasek, Elissa Steamer, Kareem Campbell, Andrew Reynolds, Bob Burnquist, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Jamie Thomas, Rune Glifberg, Chad Muska and of course, Tony Hawk.

-All skaters will have their own special moves and some new tricks as well including Revert, Lip Tricks, and the Wall Plant.

-Adding to all this are the original levels from the first two games in the franchise. This means everything from Warehouse to The Bullring. And the soundtracks from the original titles will also be there to kick-in some more nostalgia.

-You will be able to create your own park using a ‘robust' editing suite. “enabling an incredible level of customization to create the skatepark of your wildest imaginations. These parks can be shared online with friends,” states the Activision website.

-Besides creating your own park, you can even create your character with several customisation options.
