Gamers finally got the prices for Sony PlayStation 5 last night. However, soon after, Ubisoft announced its Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell VR titles for Facebook's Oculus platform. Revealed during Facebook Connect, Oculus announced the arrival of these two titles. The details, however, are thin for now. However, the firm calls the two titles ‘new, made-for-VR' indicating that there might actually be some VR-specific changes in the games instead of simple porting of the existing versions. Also noted is that the production for both is spearheaded by Ubisoft's Red Storm Entertainment team. This announcement comes right around the time when the social media giant launched its Oculus Quest 2.

The virtual reality hardware was launched during the same Facebook Connect event. It starts at $299 and will be coming in October this year in the US and few other countries. The wearable device is 10% lighter this time at 503 grams, more compact in size, has more powerful processor, 6GB RAM and higher resolution at 1832×1920 per eye. Facebook has even confirmed that it will be killing the PC VR Oculus line within months. Besides a redesigned controller, the new Oculus Quest 2 claims a battery life of up to 2-3 hours.

Game developer Ubisoft, on the other hand, recently revealed the launch date of its upcoming title – Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The announcement came at the same time when Xbox revealed the Series S and the prices. The title will be made available from November 10 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store for Windows PCs, on UPLAY+ (Ubisoft's subscription service), and on Stadia. This, along with Watch Dogs: Legion, will also be arriving to PS5.
