We had told you earlier this month that Sony's PS5 console units were finally getting restocked in India and that some retailers, like Prepaidgamercard, were set to open pre-bookings. Now, Vijay Sales has joined the list too and the retailer is opening up pre-bookings for the PS5 from tomorrow, May 27, noon. The company has posted banners regarding this on its social media handles and on the official website.

The Sony PS5 comes in two models - the Standard Editions and the Digital Edition. Going by the banner, only the Standard Edition is going to be available at Vijay Sales for 49,990 (click here). Given the very high demand for the console, it's highly likely that it is going to be sold out very, very soon. So, if you are interested in booking one for yourself, you should be prompt.

Gaming enthusiasts in India have been struggling with trying to get their hands on the Sony PlayStation 5. Pre-bookings for the PS5 first opened up earlier this year in January and this was followed by a very limited number of PS5 units being available at launch in February. And since then, the console has been available here sporadically and in very limited numbers.

Prepaidgamercard hard opened up their pre-bookings by May 17 and had said that the consoles would be shipped to customers by May 24.

The initial stocks allotted for pre-orders in India sold out instantly, much to Sony's surprise, and the company had said that more stocks would come in soon. "PS5 has met with unprecedented enthusiasm by PlayStation fans in India, resulting in a stockout during the pre-order period. Keeping the current situation in mind, we kindly urge all customers to keep their health and safety first and refrain from visiting any retail store to pre-order a PS5. Please stay in touch with retailers for the next pre-order phase,” Sony said. And it is happening finally, so you better hurry.
