MIUI 12 rolls out for Redmi Note 8T global variant

    Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 brings a variety of new features such as a new App Drawer, system-wide dark mode, and ultra-battery saver mode. The update also offers a few bug fixes.

    The MIUI 12 update is now reportedly rolling out to the global version of Redmi Note 8T. Based on Android 10, the firmware version 12.0.1.0.QCXMIXM is coupled with the October security patches as well.

    As expected, the latest update brings many new features, improvements, and bug fixes. The changelog reveals the update brings the support for control centre layout in landscape mode. It has also fixed an issue wherein noise could be heard even when the screen was turned off.

    In case you did not know, MIUI 12 is the latest custom ROM from Xiaomi. The update brings a slew of new features, improvements, and bug fixes for Xiaomi users. It also offers a new interface for Xiaomi users. For example, it comes with a new App Drawer. There is also a system-wide dark mode that can be automatically enabled. The MIUI 12 update features an ultra-battery saver mode that can further phone's standby time and reduce power consumption.

    That said, Redmi Note 8T had launched in November last year. The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB built-in storage. It features a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

    Redmi Note 8T has a 6.3-inch dot drop display with full HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
