Update: OnePlus Nord has officially launched in India. The smartphone is priced at ₹24,999. The company also launched OnePlus Buds, which is priced at ₹4,990.
OnePlus Nord comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with 5G support. It has 12GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage. The phone has quad-rear camera setup featuring 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor and a macro sensor. The phone has two front-facing cameras. The phone is powered by a 4,100mAh battery.

OnePlus is set to launch a new smartphone today. OnePlus Nord has been the talk of the town for months with the phone appearing in leaks and reports. OnePlus also slowly started revealing more about its upcoming phone.
The OnePlus Nord launch event will take place later tonight at 7:30 pm IST. OnePlus has a dedicated site for the Nord and it's where the event's live stream will be broadcast. Amazon India also has the teaser page up for the OnePlus Nord but sale details haven't been revealed yet. OnePlus Nord is one highly awaited smartphone and for various reasons. So here are five things to know about the OnePlus Nord launch.
First AR launch
For the OnePlus Nord, the company is hosting what's touted to be the first AR launch event. This requires the OnePlus Nord AR app that's available on the Google Play Store and the App Store and an AR cardboard that's pretty easy to make. Then on the OnePlus Nord AR app, you have to set up your avatar and follow the on-screen instructions. Note that you would need a good internet connection to witness the AR event without any interruptions.

Design
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei in an interview with Marques Brownlee talked about the OnePlus Nord. He also revealed the phone's design. There are dual punch-hole selfie cameras on the OnePlus Nord.
At the rear, there's a quad-camera setup stacked vertically on the side. This is different from the OnePlus 8 series as its cameras are placed at the centre. OnePlus Nord was also seen in two colour options of black and aqua blue.
Specifications
OnePlus Nord is confirmed to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G processor. The smartphone will most likely run Android with OxygenOS 10 layered on top. It could feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. Leaks also suggest a 4,115mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge.
The quad-camera setup will feature a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor and a macro sensor. Out of the two selfie cameras, one is a 32-megapixel primary sensor.

Price
OnePlus said the Nord will be priced below $500 which translates to roughly ₹37,400. The smartphone was recently leaked with a price tag of around ₹39,400. This is for the 8GB+128GB of the OnePlus Nord. It will most likely come in more storage variants. OnePlus Nord is the company's affordable premium smartphone, something it shifted from in recent years.
OnePlus Buds
Along with the OnePlus Nord, the company's first truly wireless earbuds will make its debut. OnePlus Buds feature an AirPods-like design with a charging case that's similar to the Pixel Buds 2. OnePlus Buds will offer up to seven hours of battery life, and a total of 30 hours with the case. The wireless earbuds will also cost less than $100 ( ₹7,500 approx).
