Samsung will launch Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G foldable phones on August 5. Here are the expected price, specifications, and features of the upcoming foldable phones.

Samsung will showcase its new foldable phones at its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5. The new lineup will feature a successor to the last year’s Galaxy Fold and a 5G version of the flip-fold Galaxy Z Flip. Already, we know quite a bit about these two phones. Now, a new report reveals the prices of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip.

According to an ETNews report, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G will be priced at $1,370 ( 1,02,400 approximately). This is the same price as the original 4G model which launched earlier this year. Similarly, Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be priced at $1,990 ( 1,48,700 approximately), much lower than the $2,200 launch price of the last year’s Galaxy Fold (5G variant). The LTE version of the foldable phone is priced at $1980 ( 1,48,000 approximately).

The prices are still higher than the normal premium smartphones that are available in the market right now. Another way to look at it is that Samsung has succeeded in keeping the prices same, if not higher, for the newer models that sport the latest Qualcomm processor and other upgrades.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 will have as many as five cameras. The foldable phone sports a 10-megapixel sensor on the inside and outside. The triple rear camera setup is said to be a combination of a 64-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2 is set to debut alongside Galaxy Z Flip 5G on August 5. At its Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung will also showcase the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Watch 3, and Galaxy Buds Live true wireless earbuds.
