Google Doodle today: Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games commenced on August 24, 2021 and to celebrate the occasion, a special Google Doodle was revealed today. The new Google Doodle celebrates the spirit of the Paralympic Games in kind by bringing back the Doodle game on Google.com. The Paralympic Games will be held between August 24 to August 5, 2021.

The Google Doodle on Google.com provides a direct launch pad for the game. As soon as you click on it, a cat character called Lucky takes you to a sports festival, which is an obvious reference to Tokyo Paralympics. Dubbed the Doodle Champion Island, it packs as many as 7 mini-games that are rivetting. It has everything an avid gamer could want in a game including legendary opponents, daring side quests, and old friends. The goal is to defeat each sport champion.

Google, on its blog, said, "Welcome back to the Doodle Champion Island Games! Over the coming weeks, re-join calico (c)athlete Lucky as she explores Doodle Champion Island even further: a world filled with seven sport mini-games, legendary opponents, dozens of daring side quests, and a few new (and old ;)) friends. Her ultimate goal? Defeat each sport Champion to collect all seven sacred scrolls—and complete extra hidden challenges across Champion Island in the purrr-ocess. "

There are loads of new things thrown into tenhe game this time around and gamers should look out for bonus levels and side quests! Google noted, "If you're one of the chosen few who collects every scroll, you can even see what's next for our favorite feline."

Continuing with the cat overkill language, Google then asks you, "So are you still feline Lucky? Click on today's Doodle, join one of the four color teams to contribute to the real-time global leaderboard, and let the games continue!"

Once you join, do make sure you come back for more tomorrow too to keep up with Lucky. You can then check the real-time team leaderboard standings, and watch the action unfold in the Doodle Champion Island Games! The Google Doodle also lists the various characters.
