Google rolled out Android 11 on Pixel smartphones last week. Now, less than a week after the launch of Android 11, Oppo has started rolling out Android 11-based ColorOS 11 onto its smartphones across the globe.

Oppo says that the rapid launch of ColorOS 11, which follows on the heels of Google's Android 11 announcement, is the result of a close collaboration between the two companies to realize the launch in record time. The company also said that its newly launched mobile operating system is based on “Make Life Flow” concept and that it maintains the stock Android features while also providing the rich UI customization sought by Oppo users.

As far as the features are concerned, ColorOS 11 brings all of Android 11's features onto Oppo smartphones. It also comes with features such as dark mode customisations and new battery saver mode among others.

So here are all the top features of ColorOS 11 that you should know about:

-- ColorOS 11 comes with a bunch of new customisation options. Users can create their own Always-On-Display, theme, and wallpaper, as well as fonts, icons, and ringtones.

-- In addition to that, ColorOS 11 comes with three colour schemes and levels of contrast that enables users to customise dark mode on their smartphones.

-- It also includes Oppo Relax 2.0 that lets users create their own white noise mix while also offering an extensive and immersive collection of sounds from cities around the world.

-- ColorOS 11 comes with the three-finger Translate powered by Google Lens that captures and translates text through a simple screenshot taken with a three-finger gesture.

-- There is a Flexdrop feature that lets users watch videos and text at the same time.

-- ColorOS 11 also features a new Super Power Saving Mode that lets users select six apps to run in low-battery situations and a Battery Guard prevents damage from prolonged charging at unstable power voltages by learning user habits.

-- ColorOS 11 features UI First 2.0, which boosts RAM utilization by 45%, improving the response rate by 32% and the frame rate by 17%.

-- It also comes with AI App Preloading technology that learns user behavior to preload the most-used apps, reducing loading time. There is a SuperTouch feature that identifies user scenarios and optimises the touch response speed accordingly, improving system fluency.

-- For privacy and security, ColorOS 11 has a Private System feature that creates a separate system where the second version of apps and data runs independent of the original, and is accessible only via a separate fingerprint scan or password

-- There is also a new shortcut to App Lock that enables users to lock apps through password, fingerprint, or facial verification.

-- To provide a longer battery life, the ColorOS 11 has a Low Battery Message feature that provides options to send messages when the phone battery drops to 15%, displaying users' current location to selected contacts. This allows users to share their status with families and friends when their phone is about to run out of battery. This feature, however, is available only in India.
